N-Delta militancy fuelled by non-clean up of Ogoniland —Buhari

A BUJA —President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, in Nairobi, Kenya, said that non-clean up of oil spillages in the Niger Delta especially in Ogoniland, was responsible for the militancy the region witnessed in times past. The president consequently vowed to clean up the land by implementing the United Nations Environmental Programme, UNEP’s recommendations to save the land. President Buhari made the promise during a visit to the United Nations Office in the Kenyan capital. Thankfully, no one was injured but it could have been worse. I think it's time PHCN takes a nationwide inspection of all the existing wooden poles for safety checks. Enugu sex hawker dies after marathon with customers

E NUGU— THE  Enugu State Police command through operatives of the Udenu Division has commenced investigations into an alleged incident of murder in which a commercial sex worker was allegedly killed in a brothel after a marathon sex with a customer. It was gathered that around midnight on October 24, the customer, identified as Ikechukwu Oga had gone to a brothel at Obolloafor, in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State where he met with the sex hawker, Roseline and had a sex deal. Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, confirmed the incident in a statement made available to newsmen, explaining that the suspect after a bargain with the deceased, agreed to sleep together for a fee.

Choi! Vehicle parked close to a heap of rubbish burnt alongside it in Yenagoa (photo)

This happened yesterday in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state. A vehicle that was packed close to heap of refuse was burnt alongside the refuse. It was not an abandoned car according to the sender. The fire from the refuse spread quickly to the car before it could be saved. The owner must be gutted!
